About the PDF Page Organizer
Sometimes a document just needs surgery — remove the blank page at the end of a scan, swap two sections that got exported in the wrong order, or pull out three specific pages for a submission that only wants the relevant exhibits. ChopFile's Page Organizer lets you do all of that visually, in your browser, without uploading anything to a server.
How it works
Drop one or more PDFs (or images) onto the tool and every page appears as a live thumbnail. Under the hood, ChopFile uses pdf-lib and PDF.js — both running entirely in your browser — to render previews and then assemble your custom page sequence into a new document. Nothing leaves your device at any point. When you click Export PDF, the new file is built locally and downloaded directly to your machine.
When to use the Page Organizer
- Removing blank scans — flatbed scanners often insert blank pages between originals; click the × on any thumbnail to delete it before exporting.
- Rearranging before sending — drag thumbnails into any order to match the sequence a recipient expects, such as putting a signature page first or an appendix last.
- Building a submission packet — pull pages from multiple source documents (lease, ID, bank statement) and arrange them into one cohesive file without ever merging the originals.
- Deduplicating a report — if a cover page was accidentally included twice, just remove the extra thumbnail.
- Mixing images with PDF pages — drag in a PNG or JPG alongside your PDF and it becomes a full page in the exported document, no conversion step needed.
Tips for best results
Use the Size slider in the toolbar to zoom thumbnails larger — it makes fine ordering decisions much easier on a dense document. The color-coded badge on each thumbnail shows which source file the page came from, so you always know what you're looking at when pages from multiple PDFs are mixed together. If you only need to reorder entire files rather than individual pages, Merge PDF is faster. To trim a large source document down to just the pages you need before organizing, run it through Split PDF first. And if any pages are rotated the wrong way, fix them with Rotate PDF before adding them to the organizer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I combine pages from different PDFs?
Yes! Upload multiple PDFs and drag pages from any document into any order.
Will this affect my original files?
No. Your original files are untouched. The organizer creates a brand new PDF.
Is there a page limit?
No hard limit. It depends on your device's memory. Most devices handle hundreds of pages easily.
How is this different from Merge?
Merge combines entire documents in order. The Organizer lets you rearrange individual pages from multiple PDFs into any order.
Can I duplicate a page?
Not yet — but you can upload the same PDF twice and use pages from both copies.
Does the organizer work on mobile?
Yes, but it works best on desktop where you have more screen space for dragging thumbnails.
Can I add images to my PDF?
Yes! Upload PNG, JPG, or WebP images alongside PDFs. Each image becomes a full page in the exported document.
